AD7980 is a 16 bit, successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC) powered by a single power supply (VDD). It is equipped with a low-power, high-speed, 16 bit sampling ADC and a multifunctional serial interface port. At the rising edge of CNV, the device samples the analog input voltage difference between IN and IN - (where IN - is the reference ground of the signal), ranging from 0 to REF. The reference voltage (REF) is provided externally and can be independent of the power supply voltage (VDD).
